SunPlus DVD Mod

After some fiddling around, I found a way to mod my cheap China made DVD..


Here is a typical ACE DVD Player:

    bai nag-inquire ako dito bout atmega8 wala akong makita eh,, puro walang alam ;D ... pero subukan ko muna sa technika un lang may stock most of computer related chips and ic...

    sir rbt hindi kaya pareho lang yung proseso nyan sa paglalagay ng wall paper sa celfon o sa pc/laptop? menu lang ng dvd player ginamit mo para mai-display yan? very intriguing...

    Nope...read mo yung laman ng EEPROM using a dedicated programmer then edit mo yung HEX/BIN file to add some sort of logo or image..

      i can't understand i have knowledge in write and read values from a spi and i2c but ido'nt know how images are stored in a eeprom

      The image is stored on specific address in eeprom. you need a special software to automatically read on that particular address, extract the image or replace with your own and program back to the chip.
