RBT Home Made PCB Etching Solution

For those who are etching PCB at home, I would like to share my home-made etching solution which is CHEAP and READILY available on groceries and pharmacy..Etch fast and can be reused and stored for long time..:D

Before you proceed reading, Please be aware that chemicals used here can be fatal if inhaled or swallowed.Take safety precaution and wear gloves in handling this chemicals!

Ingredients:
  • Hydrogen Peroxide (Aqua Oxinada) 20% volumes I'm using RHEA brand from Watsons.

  • Muriatic Acid (hydrochloric acid (HCl) take the INDUSTRIAL STRENGTH.

Warning:

Mixing is a hazardous process (add acid to the peroxide, not the other way around!)
In a well-ventilated area with a fan, add 2-cups hydrogen peroxide to a plastic container. Gently pour in 1-cup Muriatic Acid, to create the etching solution. Always wear goggles, gloves, and do not inhale the fumes. Do not use any metal containers, measuring cups, stainless steel sinks, or tools with this mixture as this mixture will aggressively etch metal. Acid safety, think “triple A”, for Always Add the Acid, it’s whatever is in the container that will end up splashing. This etching solution, while made with common chemicals, should command respect. It is dangerous to yourself and surroundings, treat it with respect.

The result is FAST and CLEAN etch:

    Hi,

It's the power of CAD..:D I'm using EAGLE for schematic and PCB design...Dyan din ako nanggaling..masking tape at pentil pen..:P

I think this technique should be phased-out sa mga technical schools...since there is a much easy, simple, faster and cleaner result using other method...

  8. TMA? naku! basura yan...one easy way for LOCAL/TEST MODE is a small pin charger..yung maliit then lagyan mo ng malaki na wire bale GROUND lang saka mo isaksak sa USB..swak yan...

  9. do you mean sir, sa ufc cable, yung bang supply line na red, black and green ay palitan ko ng mas malaking wire?
or sa pagkakaintindi ko, yung groung wire or color black na wire lang ang papalitan ng mas malaking wire, tama po ba?
